Is global warming happening?

Greenhouse gas emissions from human activities, also humans are adding carbon dioxide to the atmosphere at a rate far greater than it is removed by natural processes. Carbon dioxide is the most commonly produced greenhouse gas. Human activity has increased greenhouse gases in the atmosphere since the Industrial Revolution, leading to more heat retention and an increase in surface temperatures. Global warming may also lead to extreme weather other than cold or heat extremes, with increasing global surface temperatures the possibility of more droughts and increased intensity of storms will likely occur.

Climate models forecast that global warming will cause climate patterns worldwide to experience significant changes. By tracking weather and climate variables and trace the extreme values from different sources of data, we can check and analyze the happening events which is related to climate change and global warming. There are different sources of data which register, prepare and simulate data, such as in-situ data (e.g. synoptic station, hydrometric station, and etc.), satellites (Remote sense), gridded datasets (e.g. Agmerra, Aphrodite, CRU, and etc.) outputs of numerical weather prediction data, and different models.

So, by tracing different variables over past and future, you can answer this question. One of You can check Tmax data from 1901 to 2015 for your coordinate by CRUP. In the CRUP, there is climate data based on CRU dataset. The user can load Tmax by Lat and Lon and draw trend line. If trend line be incremental, you have global warming in your location.
